Piano Readr

What is Piano Readr?

Piano Readr is a sight-reading practice tool for piano students at all levels. It generates fresh, printable sheet music exercises on demand — so you always have new material to practice reading at the piano, not the same pages over and over.

How it works

Choose a difficulty level, key signature, and time signature, then click Generate. Piano Readr creates a unique two-hand exercise using musically appropriate patterns for that level. Each exercise includes a tempo marking, dynamics, and articulation — the same elements you'd encounter in real repertoire.

Use the built-in metronome to practice at tempo: click Play for a one-bar count-in, then follow the playhead through the score. Click anywhere on the score to jump to that beat. Click Print to produce a clean page with no controls.

Difficulty levels

Levels 1 through 8+ follow a graded system. Each level introduces new keys, rhythms, and pattern types:

Seeds

Every exercise has a seed — a number that uniquely identifies it. Share a seed with a teacher or friend and they can generate the exact same exercise. Leave the seed field blank for a random exercise every time.

Printing

Click Print (or Ctrl+P / ⌘P) after generating an exercise. The controls disappear and only the score prints.

Privacy

Piano Readr does not require an account and does not store your practice history. Exercises are generated fresh each time and are not saved on our servers. Third-party advertising partners may use cookies — see our Privacy Policy for details.
